Hi, my name is Damaris and I am the food photographer, recipe developer, cook, baker, and writer behind this blog.
I grew up in a family that ate a full meal every evening complete with homemade biscuits. Everyone sat around the table and some of us had to sit there for hours if all those veggies didnโt disappear from our plates ๐ Maybe that is why I could eat veggies and fruit all day every day!
I decided to start Chips & Pepper a few years ago because I have always wanted to learn food photography and I am always cooking anyway. I knew the blog would keep me motivated to keep trying new things and learning. I had no idea that so much work could go into a food blog but, I am so happy that it has given me the opportunity to learn so much.
The recipes found here will be desserts, southern comfort food, and veggie based meals occasionally! I love creating new recipes and am so inspired by my collection of vintage cookbooks. I am a complete mom and self-taught cook which means that I am mostly sharing recipes that we love to make and eat over and over here at home.
