What Makes Them So Great?
- The combination of cocoa, bananas, and dark chocolate chips make these muffins melt in your mouth.
- Bakery style muffins are larger in size which makes it easy to cut them in half, or fourths to share.
- They are great for meal prep. Just pop them into the freezer for up to 6 weeks.
- They are customizable with several add-in options.
- It is a easy recipe, everything can be mixed up in one bowl.
Easy Chocolate Muffins Ingredients
- All-Purpose Flour is used for this recipe. For a whole wheat version I would use 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of all-purpose flour. The texture of the muffins will be slightly different but, very delicious!
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder is tasty and also contains many healthy nutrients.
- Baking Soda is essential as a leavening agent in this recipe.
- Salt is a necessary ingredient for flavor-I like sea salt lately!
- Granulated Sugar for sweetness. Sweeteners that can be measured cup for cup are good substitutes. The taste and texture of the muffins will be affected slightly by these.
- Unsalted Butter makes everything better!
- Whole Milk works best for this recipe.
- Egg. One large egg is all you need.
- Vanilla flavoring is added with our heart around here!
- Bananas are best when very ripe.
- Dark Chocolate Chips add an extra depth of chocolate.
