Cheesy Bacon Mashed Potato Bake is a very easy recipe that is full of flavor from the butter, potatoes, bacon, and cheese!
My favorite mashed potatoes are not the ones that you eat along with the turkey(although they are delish) but, the leftovers that can be turned into this cheesy bacon goodness! Who can resist butter and bacon with a little splash of heavy cream π.
How to make cheesy bacon mashed potatoes.
- First of all, this recipe focuses on using leftover mashed potatoes. They should already have butter, milk, or whatever you put in them.
- I usually warm them just a tad in the microwave or oven because they can be difficult to deal with straight out of the refrigerator.
- After they are warm I add about 2 tbsp. of melted butter, and maybe 1/4 cup of heavy cream along with the bacon and whatever seasonings you would like to add. Rosemary is always good with potatoes!
- I use a Kitchen Aid mixer to whip them up. You can stir everything together by hand but, use the mixer if possible because they turn into smooth, creamy, and light potato magic somehow…
- Cheesy bacon mashed potato bake can be made from scratch. Boil 6-8 Yukon Gold potatoes and make mashed potatoes as you normally would. Only add the extra butter and cream if needed. Add the bacon and cheese as directed.
Hoping that everyone will have wonderful Thanksgiving Day! Don’t forget to make cheesy bacon mashed potato bake after all that black
