This recipe is one that I came up with after trying for so long to make a cookie from scratch that didn’t end up being crispy or crunchy. Finally! Maybe I’m the last one to figure this out…
Don’t even get me started on the s’mores and ice cream sandwiches made from these babes! So so yummms.

Chocolate Walnut Soft Batch Cookies
Servings 12
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter room temperature
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup whole milk plain yogurt
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup walnuts finely chopped
Instructions
- Cream together butter, egg, sugar, and yogurt until smooth.
- Sift all dry ingredients together.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Stir until well incorporated. I use the stir setting on mixer.
- Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Use cookie scoop to drop onto parchment lined cookie sheets.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool on wire racks.
