My favorite spaghetti with meat sauce is right here ⬇️. It simmers away for up to 3 hours and is so worth it! (An Instant Pot update for this recipe will be added soon and I am sure it will be just as delicious.) I have been working on this meat sauce recipe for some time now and am excited to share it!
Tips For Making Favorite Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
- Use a cast-iron stockpot if possible which keeps the liquid from reducing too quickly in the sauce. Other options are to use a slow cooker or an Instant Pot!
- I chopped the onion in a food processor which gave the sauce a much different(and better) texture and flavor.
- The “secret” ingredient in this sauce is a cinnamon stick! Don’t worry it doesn’t taste the way that you would imagine.
- I used hamburger that had very little fat.
- I used bucatini pasta for this recipe but, any spaghetti pasta works.
- Garlic is an option for this recipe of course instead of the powder. I get mine from a spice shop and it has the best flavor so I use it every chance that I get. If using garlic add it to the onions 1-2 minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients.
